About

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience working as a Clinical Social Worker with a focus on Older Adults, Caregivers of those with a dementing illness and adult children dealing with Eldercare issues for their parents. I also have experience working with those with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability who are aging and their caregivers. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions such as from work to retirement and caregiver issues related to burden of care and stress related problems.

My counseling style is engaging, interactive and warm. I am non-judgmental , compassionate, respectful and believe that all people should be free to express themselves openly in a therapeutic setting. My approach combines Cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive/reality-based counseling and mindfulness training. I will use problem-solving techniques and work with you to develop a treatment plan to meet your specific needs.
