About

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2000 and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2012. I provide a safe harbor and therapeutic environment eager to maximize your potential personal growth, help you determine and create optimal work-life balance, and feel empowered through empirically-based therapeutic techniques.
Life brings many challenges, stressors, and unfortunate events. Many people who go through challenges in life, experience overwhelming feelings, sometimes unrecognizable due to the magnitude of their stressor, length of time they’ve experienced the stressor, or life’s challenges. These overwhelming feelings come in all shapes and colors: sadness, confusion, disappointment, resentment, anxiety, hopelessness, lack of understanding, worry, loneliness, helplessness, anger, fear, and depression.

My goal is to provide the highest therapeutic services possible, helping you change so you can be more physically, emotionally, cognitively, and spiritually healthy. As you become more self-aware, you will understand what is needed to improve your overall health. This will allow you to feel empowered and confident enable you to become a positive change agent for yourself, other people, and the cultural and environmental systems in which you interact.

My experience as a counselor includes working with adults in areas of transition, crises, personal growth and development, divorce, anxiety, blended family structures, identity crises, and depression.

I have been trained in a variety of different approaches and prefer to take an eclectic approach that allows me to tailor counseling techniques to you and your specific situation. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, but have experience in several research-based theories of counseling, including: Dialectical Behavioral, Family Systems, and Rational Emotive Therapy.

I look forward to helping you find resolution, perspective, and peace in your journey through counseling.
