I'm glad you are here and are considering seeking support. We can all use a safe person to speak to and help us process our thoughts, feelings, and actions. I encourage you to prioritize finding a counselor you feel connected and safe with. Not every counselor will be a good "fit" for your needs and personality, and that is okay! The most important thing is that you do find someone who will be a good "fit". Below is some additional information to help you decide if I may be that counselor for you!

I utilize a constructivist humanistic approach, which is fancy wording to say that I believe we are complex individuals with many strengths and abilities to help us heal, grow, and find fulfillment and that we can create our meaning in life. I also utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques, which address the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida and have been practicing since 2016. My professional experiences include residential mental health facilities with adults, outpatient individual counseling with adults and adolescents, and play therapy with young children. My specialty areas include gender and sexuality, diversity and inclusion, LGBTQ+, anxiety, stress management, educational and professional concerns, communication, and various other topics.
