About

My name is Nicole Erkfitz, and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have 7+ years working in social services, clinical research, and providing therapy to adults, families, and couples in inpatient and outpatient settings. I specialize in addressing family dynamic/parenting issues, perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, and addressing trauma or abuse.

Finding a therapist can be challenging, so my goal is to make it as simple for you as possible:
We may be a good fit for each other if...
-You are a parent seeking to take care of yourself and heal from birth trauma, experiences in the NICU, perinatal depression and anxiety, miscarriage, or other perinatal mental health concerns, no matter how long it has been since your pregnancy, postpartum period, or loss.
-You are looking to strengthen or build healthier relationships either with a partner or through self-exploration regardless of your relationship status or sexuality
-You want to confront and heal past victimizations, abuse, or trauma
-You want to explore and address issues related to your upbring including religious trauma, rearing by narcissistic parents
-You are looking to heal your relationship from betrayal trauma such as divorce, childhood abandonment, or infidelity
-You are looking to strengthen your sexuality with your partner or address intimacy issues or sexual dysfunction
-You are looking for a therapist that is accepting of polyamorous, LGBTQIA+ relationships or is kink friendly
-You are looking to process a life transition, having a child/empty nesting, career change, midlife crisis
-You are a parent looking to address family dynamic or parenting concerns
-Your child is struggling with behavior or conduct issues, bullying, or address attachment issues with parents or other caregivers

Transparency in Scheduling is very important to me so that clients choose a therapist that is available for them at times convenient for them. My availability for live sessions is Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm Eastern Daylight Time. Per Find A Therapists regulations live sessions are capped at 45 minutes a session. However, I respond to messages on a daily basis if not multiple times a day as my schedule allows.

You have already taken the first step. Know that healing is possible.
