About

I am a current Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida, a graduate of Rollins College with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Family and Relationship Counseling. Prior to this, I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a minor in Women's Studies from the University of Central Florida. My specialty is working with couples and families in distress. I enjoy the moment when each person can look past their current difficulties and begin to hear one another and work towards relationship they desired; they're able to feel truly valued! Along with this, I have experience working with those who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBT related issues, grief, anger management, adult ADHD, and adjustment to life transitions. Outside of therapy, I have held advocacy positions within the Central Florida community such as case management for homeless and at-risk youth, and survivors of domestic violence. Counseling is a commitment of your time and energy and often people wait too long before they seek help. I help couples address and atone for past betrayals, understand relationship vulnerabilities and re-establish meaningful secure marriages/relationships. Couples and individuals will learn tools needed to communicate effectively and compassionately, manage their own strong negative feelings, maintain healthy boundaries to move forward with the future of their relationships. While I do integrate a multitude of theoretical modalities for a client’s personalized needs, I primarily utilize techniques from research -based theories such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
