My name is Nicole Monahan and I am a licensed mental health counselor. I have over 20+ years working with clients in a therapuetic setting. I strive to work with all clients to improve overall level of functioning. I will work with you to identify your stressors and develop a solid plan to address those stressors. I focus on problem solving, developing healthy coping skills and identify a personal network of support.

I have always had a passion for helping others. I feel like helping others comes naturally and I enjoy working together with others to improve their overall quality of life. I believe that a therapuetic relationship should be based on mutual trust and respect. The process is done through teamwork. I will be there every step of the way and look for the same commitment from my clients. You must be willing to commit to the process and focus on improving your overall level of functioning and well-being.

I am solution focused which means that I will work with you to identify ways to minimize stress, create a positive mindset. Some of the common stressors I work with are mood disorders, anxiety, stressors. I enjoy working with clients through major life transitions, goal setting and planning for a successful future.
