I often here people say, "I am bipolar, that's why I act like this". Too often people believe that their diagnosis is a definition of who they are. Using a person centered approach I aim to help you get unstuck and through the idea that your diagnosis is your definition. I have been providing reality based mental and behavioral health services to individuals, couples and families for the last 15 years.
My name is Nicola Brooks and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has had the privilege of gaining experience in a variety of counseling settings. I provide a holistic approach to counseling by using a bio psycho social approach. This integrative, client-centered manner of providing therapy helps to ensure the highest quality care is provided. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to include cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavioral, solution-focused, psychoeducational, trauma-informed, mindfulness, and more. I promote growth by offering a safe, accepting atmosphere so that you know you matter.
