My primary training is in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy with adolescents, and motivational interviewing. Other techniques such as play therapy may be used when appropriate. I’ve worked with people from a wide variety of cultures ranging from ages 3 to 95. What is your approach to therapy? My therapeutic style focuses on looking beyond the surface. It’s important for me to discover who you are and then to equip you to find solutions to whatever challenges you’re facing. I believe people most benefit most from a therapeutic relationship that promotes growth and strength. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? My goal is for you to leave every session with the ability to feel hopeful and understood. Ultimately I want every patient to not need my help, and the sooner the better.
