Hi, I am Ne-Juan Shaul, a licensed professional counselor. When working with clients and assisting them with determining the best solution to current conflicts, I prefer to explore culture, core beliefs, values, and motivation. I work from a Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach. My focus is to work with clients and help them understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors stem from culture, core beliefs, and values. The combination of culture, core beliefs, and values typically produces motivation. Currently, I am accepting new patients. I work with adults who struggle with anger, anxiety, depression, delusional disorder, and relationship conflict. My approach I work from the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy frame. My focus I currently work with adults who are struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, delusional disorder, and relationship conflicts. My communication style I simplify everything, I am down to earth, I am easy to talk to, I am not judgemental, and people who work with me can feel that. Sessions with me are usually very relaxed. However, I do not do the work for clients, I truly value people having power and control over their lives, and I believe that each session has to be approached that way. Individuals who work with me have to own their sessions, meaning they have to come to the session with something to discuss and willing to work. My journey to mental healthcare This is a field of work where learning never stops. My clients teach me as much as I teach them, which is perfect for me. I love learning, and I'm fascinated with the human experience and how that experience affects different minds differently. I am non-judgemental, and I show unconditional positive regard for the individuals that I work with. I enjoy watching people improve, and even more, I enjoy being a part of their journey. The profession gives me a purpose that I am proud of. If I were not a helper, I do not know what I would be.
