Hello! I’m so excited that you have chosen to take a step toward working on your personal struggles. First of all, let me put you at ease; in therapy, WE ARE A TEAM. It is my concern to help hold up a mirror to the areas of your life that you want to work on or feel aren’t working and to provide you with the tools and options of how to go about those changes, but you are the expert in you or your family! I have over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and families who are working through a variety of concerns. I believe in practicing acceptance and feel it is very important that judgments are left outside the door. All that matters is what you want to work on and the steps you take from this moment forward. Additionally, I have teenagers and young adults of my own and my experiences as a parent of all ages have helped me gain a perspective that has grown with age! I utilize Person-centered therapy and do not believe in focusing on the diagnosis over the person, everyone is different and while diagnoses can provide assistance, they are tools, not the answer.
