If you’re reading this, you likely have a problem; some kind of obstacle in your path. Maybe it has a name like anxiety, depression, or addiction. Maybe it’s harder to define. Regardless, you are probably looking for an expert. If you’re suffering from depression, it makes sense to find an expert in depression, but you also need someone willing to become an expert in you. No one has attended a conference about you, or read a book about you. You need someone willing to walk with you on your path.

Dr. Irvin Yalom writes in his book The Gift of Therapy, that a counselor should be a “fellow traveler”. You need a fellow traveler, because your journey is your own. Your destination is unique, and the obstacles you face are never exactly the same as someone else’s. I meet each of my clients where they are at. I strive to truly understand where they want to go. I provide whatever support and guidance I can as we move forward towards their goals while building the resilience that will keep them going when it is time to part ways. I have three years of counseling experience in a variety of setting, addressing a variety of needs to draw from, while never forgetting your journey is unique.
