About
My name is Natasha Collins. I have been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) for nearly 15 years. I am passionate about helping individuals learn and develop the skills necessary to support a life that is healthy and fulfilling. Participation in therapy can help one gain insight, find clarity, replace self-defeating patterns with more supportive ones, build on strengths, learn new skills, and improve relationships. My approach I use a proactive, personal growth, and behavioral focused approach to therapy. I incorporate tools and strategies rooted in the following theoretical approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Psychology, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy. My focus My ideal client is interested in a collaborative and interactive process that focuses primarily on present day issues rather than the past and who believes in their ability to change their circumstances (even if they don't know the path or steps to take to do so). The clients I work best with are functioning safely day to day, but may be experiencing one or more of the following: feeling stuck, struggling with good decision making, difficulty in relationships, dealing with life stressors, and/or managing transitions that are causing some distress. My communication style I work to create a supportive, non-judgmental, and safe space where there can be open and honest communication and where my clients feel able to reflect and talk about what is in their hearts and minds. My journey to therapy I collaborate closely with clients to identify goals and objectives that will help guide our work together. I facilitate this process and work to ensure goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. My goals for you I collaborate closely with clients to identify goals and objectives that will help guide our work together. I facilitate this process and work to ensure goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound.
