I am a licensed counselor with several years of experience working with children, teens, adults and families helping them to regain their social, emotional, academic, familial and independent identity, while learning to take pride in their distinctiveness. I am trained in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Risking Connections (RC) and Mindfulness-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
I am experienced in guiding my clients who experience DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, RELATIONSHIP ISSUES, GRIEF AND LOSS, symptoms from TRUAMA, MULTICULTURAL ACCLAMATION, CAREER CHOICES & CHANGES, ACUTE STRESS, LOW SELF-ESTEEM, BODY IMAGE... and stressors as it relates to your PHYSICAL HEALTH TRAUMA such as a CANCER DIAGNOSIS.

My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy; looking at the human as a whole. When working with me, we look at your capacities, your aspirations and your limitations and develop a clearer understanding of your perspective of the problem you are experiencing. That understanding comes through looking at how your emotions, behaviors and thoughts are intertwined. Through this approach, self-awareness, creating an identity, establishing meaningful relationships with both yourself and others, outlining your individual purpose and values and its connectedness to the things you both CAN and CANNOT change is key!

So...just like physical healing is a process, so is healing of the mind. As humans, we are not built to accomplish things alone. We all need support to grow! Healing is not linear!
