My name is Natalie Ovcharov. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I have worked providing counseling to the geriatric population for 3 years, and to children, teens, parents, and families for 2 years. I typically use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, where we explore how our thoughts affect our feelings, which then affect our behaviors. By changing our thoughts, we can change our feelings and behaviors. I use a person-centered approach, where I emphasize that we are allowed to feel how we feel, when we feel it. I am also in the process of becoming certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and have authorization to practice EMDR with Patients now. I firmly believe that every person needs counseling at least at one point in their lives. We are all struggling in some way.
