About

I am passionate about helping people become empowered and grow into the best versions of themselves. As a Bahamian-American citizen, I was raised with a different relationship to technology than most Americans. From an early age, this gave me a cautious perspective on the impact digital media was having on our lives. This interest guided my educational pursuits leading me to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication to better understand the impact digital media has on our relationships. I obtained a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, focusing on the impact modern society and digital media has on our relationship with others, the world, and with ourselves. Then, I completed a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to pursue my passion for helping people directly. Currently, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado. The majority of my clinical experience has been supporting people with addiction and digital media overuse. This work has enabled me to become skilled at working with relationship concerns and mood regulation. Having worked in the mental health field for almost a decade in various settings and within diverse populations, I utilize an eclectic approach which encompasses my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, and Attachment Theory. My training in adventure therapy and water-based adventure therapy gave me the opportunity to run an adventure therapy program at a rehabilitation center in Florida. Having additional training in neurofeedback, provides me a unique perspective in that I am able to help people with both their mind and their brain. We are always in a state of becoming who we are, and this is a journey I feel incredibly privileged to support others with. Outside of work I like to get out in nature, hike, ski, and explore new towns. When I’m home, I’m usually tending to my garden.
