I am a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts and Hawaii and a registered expressive arts therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB). I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including mood disorders (depression, anxiety, bi-polar), eating disorders and body image, self-esteem, career challenges, and grief and loss. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. What is your approach to therapy? My counseling style is warm, authentic, and engaging. I focus on treating people with respect, sensitivity, and compassion while addressing issues of diversity. I maintain a person-centered, strengths-based approach utilizing mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, and holistic approaches. I believe in the healing power of art and can incorporate creative activities into sessions, My primary interest is in empowering women and girls to find their voice, accept their bodies, and reclaim their lives. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I encourage active participation and practice of the tools and coping skills that I help you to develop. I provide clients with the resources to create positive change and transformation in their lives.
