Welcome! My name is Nancy Elizabeth "Beth" Boyett, LICSW, and I have been helping people for over 27 years, in a variety of settings to find their safe places and achieve their goals. I have a private practice in Fairhope, Alabama, and have lived abroad and in rural and metropolitan areas in the United States. I have respect for all cultures that promote peace and equality for women, men, and non-binary individuals.

I practice from a person-centered approach. I start where you are. I have experience with helping people navigate depression, anxiety, family stressors, post-traumatic stress disorder, marital issues, caretaker and hospice related issues, first responders trauma on the job, and generally, any transitional issues a person might experience in this ever-changing world.

I was trained in clinical social work at University of Tennessee School of Social Work (Memphis Medical Campus) and completed second year internship in the psychiatric emergency room at The Med, a trauma center. Prior to becoming a clinical social worker, I was a professor of English. I attended the Iowa Writers Workshop and earned a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Iowa in 1988. Prior to becoming a therapist, I was a visiting assistant professor at Rhodes College (Memphis, TN) and Franklin Pierce College (Rindge, NH.) Additionally, I studied sociology at the University of Sussex in Falmer Brighton England.
