Hello, and welcome to Find A Therapist!

My name is Nanaho Sawano. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I have experience working with people who are exploring how they identify themselves and relate to the world around them—including multicultural issues, sexual orientation as well as relationship orientation (monogamous, non-monogamous, polyamorous, etc)—in the way they most feel comfortable within their skin. I very much enjoy helping people with the wide variety of challenges of life in these complicated times. I work with folks struggling with issues from the wear and tear of day to day living -- to those grappling with sometimes serious depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia. I consider it an honor to help people who are working so hard, every day, to maintain their wellbeing, and also to support them in understanding that, sometimes, just getting through the day something to be proud of.
