I am a licensed counselor with over 15 years of experience providing therapeutic services to young adults, adults and older adults. I have specialized in treating a wide variety of diagnoses. Some of my areas of focus include the treatment of serious mental illness and working with older adults, including the geriatric population and their caregivers.
I feel that the basis for a good therapeutic relationship is effective communication and listening. I work hard to provide a safe and secure environment for my clients and feel that it is important to do my part so that my client can do the required work to participate actively in the therapeutic process. My theoretic approaches are influenced by cognitive behavioral therapy, client centered therapy and strength-based therapy but are tailored to meet individual clients needs.
