Hello! My name is Myra Brunson-Samuel and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker of Clinical Practice in South Carolina. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from Winthrop University. I then went on to obtain a post graduate certificate in Psychiatric Rehabilitation where I obtained solid skills and knowledge to work with individuals who suffer from serious mental illnesses. I have worked with a variety of population that have allowed me to assist with providing individualized care to each individual. I have more than 7 years counseling experience and specialize in helping individuals who suffer from chronic illnesses adjust to new life changes, depression, anxiety, family conflict and suicidal ideations.

I know life is full of challenges and changes and it can be difficult to navigate alone. It is okay to seek assistance, support and a nonjudgmental atmosphere to help you create a balance and "re-empower" yourself. This is what I aim to provide along with tools and skills that you can use to help you cope daily. My treatment approach is built on the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship that involves collaboration between the therapist and client. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused and narrative therapy.

You will receive my utmost attention and devotion in an effort to help them reach your goals. Change is difficult but it is possible and together we will create an environment where you will be able to succeed and create "a new normal" for your life.
