Hi, my name is Morgan DeForest, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the Los Angeles, California area. My viewpoint of therapy is to help individuals grow and be able to understand themselves and others with a clearer lens. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling in many different areas with an attachment and family systems approach. My approach I believe that therapy is a truly personal experience. The decision to seek support is a courageous one. As your therapist, I feel honored to hear your story and work through the difficulties that life brings. My approach is customized to each of my clients because each one of us is on our own personal journey. My treatments are rooted in Attachment-Based, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, and Family Systems Theories. Based on your individual goals and needs, I may integrate mindfulness-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or trauma-focused therapy. My focus I have worked with clients struggling with trauma, families and children, grief and loss, ADHD, relationship distress, self-esteem, adjustment to life stressors, anxiety, and depression. Whether you may be working through trauma, relationship issues, family conflict, co-dependent behavior, or simply seeking greater empowerment within your everyday life. I am here to support you on your journey. My communication style I communicate in a way that fits the needs of each individual, with compassion, empathy, and curiosity. I ask questions to clarify frequently, in order to understand each individual perspective and life; in order to never assume, but truly comprehend what the person is feeling and communicating. I enjoy walking alongside clients in their healing journeys and providing them with the tools and skills to thrive in life. My journey to mental healthcare I have worked in the field of mental health as a therapist for 5 years and was initially attracted to the field for the love of helping others.
