My name is Monica Hamer. I am a licensed clinical social worker. I have been providing counseling services for 8 years. During which time I have completed thousands of group, couple and individual sessions. Whether you have had therapy in the past or never made the time to do so, I believe seeking services at this time in your life is a step in the right direction. I have used evidence based therapeutic interventions to help children, adults, couples and families to make positive changes in their lives. Fundamentally, my approach is client centered, solution focused and strengths based. I use various treatment modalities such as ACT, CBT, EMDR and others based on the individual needs of my clients. My hope is that you would be empowered to identify and make changes necessary to meet your idea of successful functioning in every area of your life.
I believe that many concerns arise due to imbalance in some area of your life whether spiritual, emotional, physical or interpersonal etc. Like a system, when one area is out of balance all areas are likely affected in some way. As you put in effort, I ask the right questions and use appropriate interventions, change may happen faster than you think!
