Hi there, I'm Monica! Hi, I am Monica Mora a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW 111205. I enjoy working with individuals to improve their emotional and mental well-being. I strive to make a better tomorrow for those that may feel hopeless, anxious and misunderstood. My areas of focus include improving self-esteem and promoting self-love. I believe that the purpose of therapy is to find your personal strengths, happiness, and inner peace. My approach I strive to create a safe space and a therapeutic alliance to ensure that individuals are respected, validated and that their story is being heard. Within the therapeutic process, I utilize self-esteem enhancement strategies, identifying strengths, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Skills, psycho-dynamic therapy, psycho-education, family systems approach, client-centered therapeutic approach, and narrative therapy. My focus I have past experience working with youth as young as 5 years old into their adulthood. I have experience working with those suffering from anxiety, depression, past trauma, stress management, LGBTQ+, and ADHD. My communication style Understanding that therapy can be an individualistic experience, I strive to create a safe space for my clients. I encourage individuals to share what is on their minds and allow for open communication. I value the importance of creating a therapeutic alliance to ensure that one feels safe in processing past and current stressors. I am a believer in respecting one's personal timing to meet my clients where they are at in their journey to wellness. I am fluent in English and Spanish. My journey to mental healthcare I have a passion for working with those who may feel alone, afraid, or misunderstood. It is important to understand that you are not alone, and taking the next steps to ensure your well-being is courageous and brave.
