My journey in the mental health field started in 2000 when I became a therapeutic foster parent. Our children’s therapist suggested that I consider pursuing a degree after commenting on the natural ability that I seemed to have in working with youth. The scope of my years of counseling includes children, adults, and couples. In addition, I have experience in working with South Dakota’s Native American population and have provided culturally competent counseling on Reservations such as Pine Ridge, Cheyenne River, and Standing Rock.
