About

I am a licensed social worker in Michigan with over 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents and young adults. I have primarily worked in the school system with ages 3-26, but also have experience working with foster care, independent living, and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. I have worked with better help clients for about a year and a half now. I have worked with clients with a wide range of needs including depression, anxiety, self esteem, grief and loss, relationship issues, social skills, transition to adulthood, anger control, ADHD, autism, LGBT needs, and trauma. I have experience working with individuals with special needs.

My counseling style is warm and welcoming. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I tend to use a solution focused approach that combines cognitive-behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapy. My approach is also strength based and uses aspects of mindfulness and motivational interviewing. I will design our treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
