About
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Northeastern University. I received my first Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University, Lincoln Center. My pursuit of education and my desire to create change catapulted me into receiving my second Masters Degree in Public Health from CUNY School of Public Health. Since I was a child I knew I wanted to help people. I feel so blessed that I get to live out my dreams. Throughout college, I was able to participate in Alternative Spring Break and was exposed to other cities and new people while getting to help. My first “adult” job was working in foster care. Rare to say but, I actually loved every minute of it. I was able to work with the children, the family, and various programs and courts. I wanted to deepen my understanding of one of the areas that impacted many of my families and that was the correctional setting. I have been providing care to the correctional setting for years now. As I have grown in life, I have come to realize that my “gift” has changed a bit. I have grown from a helper to a healer. Through my own personal experiences, I began to delve further and further into individual therapy. I provide an array of therapeutic interventions that are catered to each client specifically. I later began to receive Reiki as a client and was able to experience the healing experience firsthand. I knew this would be the perfect service to add to my practice. It allows for those who would like to work on healing through a more holistic path. It is also a great combination to add to individual therapy. I created Anchors of Healing to be able to provide support to upcoming social workers as well as to provide more flexibility to patient care. Anchors of Healing works on the founding principle that all persons have grounding anchors within them to provide strength and stability. Anchors of Healing seeks to help support to uncover those anchors within you.
