Hello, my name is Misty Davis. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee. I have a masters in Education and Mental Health Counseling. I also have a PhD in Education and Counselor Supervision.

I am dedicated to helping my clients heal. My mission is for clients to be successful in their treatment. I will work with you collaboratively so you can become more proactive and can start living your life on purpose. I often work with clients that feel stuck or just tried of walking through the day to day routine of their life without experiencing joy. Therapy is a confidential place to explore and process what is emotionally affecting you, to understand your roadblocks, and ultimately to discover a better path forward.

I am an experienced individual and couples' therapist and coaching/consultant. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Gottman (Level 1) and am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also use Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing among other therapy modalities. My specialties include depression, LGBTQ+/Alt lifestyles, PTSD, personality disorders, self-harm, sexual issues, trauma and life/stress management. My focus is to help individuals heal and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a non-judgmental safe place, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan to meet your goals.
