Hi, my name is Mimi. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, living on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona. I could tell you about my years of experience (about 10 as a therapist and several more in mental health), the diversity of clients I have worked with, or the various settings within which I have practiced, but none of that really matters if who I am as a person doesn't provide a safe healing influence in a person's life. I have been around awhile and understand that it takes courage to seek help in navigating life's challenges and in resolving deep personal pain. If you're reading this, you are already demonstrating bravery.

My life journey hasn't been a straight line, perfectly executed. Having said that, empathy and respect are gifts I bring to every session, along with insights that just might illumine next steps, give a glimpse of a new/refined destination, or bring freedom from weights having been carried for too long and too far. My most refined skills are those of listening and conceptualizing a treatment road map that will guide our work together. You, however, always make the revisions as we move forward toward your vision of who you are becoming.

I am experienced in utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT techniques, and trauma resolution modalities, including EMDR. There is no one size fits all, so you are the determiner of what our work together actually looks and feels like. I've provided therapy in private residential treatment programs, community mental health settings, and in correctional facilities.
