Hi, my name is Miguel Fernandez, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. I graduated in 2018 from Walden University and specialized in LGBTQI+ studies among other specialties. I have experience serving a variety of clients, including working with people living with HIV or other chronic illnesses, clients, and families at the end of life, men's health, community mental health serving individuals with serious and persistent mental health challenges, and as a Staff Therapist of a mental health program at an agency specializing in LGBTQI+ clients. One of the biggest predictors of success in therapy is not the techniques or modalities that a therapist uses, although they are important. The most important tool a therapist can use to help a client heal is the quality of the therapeutic relationship between client and therapist.
