Hi there, I'm Michelle! Hi, my name is Michelle Young, a licensed clinical social worker. For the last 30 years of working as a clinical therapist, I have had the privilege of journeying with countless individuals and their families in their time of need. My approach When I work with my clients, I strive to provide a safe environment where we can build a trusting and authentic working relationship, moving toward their desired goals in therapy. Most of the time, I help my clients applying the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy, who experience anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and ADHD symptoms. There are other therapeutic approaches that I also apply depending on the needs of each individual. My focus With my extensive working experience, I am trained to work with all age groups. As an immigrant, I can help build bridges between immigrant parents and their US-born younger generation. In recent years, I have worked mostly with individuals from late teens to young 70s. My communication style My clients usually find me to be warm and calm. They trust my ability to help with their difficulties and hard-to-express feelings. There are times when challenging issues arise, I will provide the support and assistance as they work through those situations.
