I'm a mental health counselor living in the Hudson Valley and working virtually to support all of New York State. I bring humor, authenticity, openness, and sense of play as we work collaboratively throughout our work. I have experience working in a trauma-informed manner with all age levels. What is your approach to therapy? I enjoy working collaboratively with you to create a space to explore patterns in your life and develop insight into your emotional and behavioral world. A client’s inner world is like black scratch paper and I enjoy working with them to reveal all the colors that live underneath. Generally, I use compassion- and attachment- focused work to engage in depth-oriented treatment while sprinkling some mindfulness and cognitive behavioral approaches when appropriate. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? In session, we boost curiosity to engage in exploration around the ways in which you navigate yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Expect active engagement in your story and a sense of humor. Progress can have highs and lows; and sessions may feel similarly. Ultimately, I hope to come along on your journey toward a deeper understanding of and compassion for yourself.
