About

I have been a licensed behavioral health counselor for over 20 years. I have a wide range of experience treating adults experiencing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, substance dependence, relationship issues, stress management, motivational issues and self care needs. I have worked extensively providing services to individuals who are struggling with supporting a loved on who is experiencing substance dependence and or severe mental health issues.

My goal as your counselor is to provide a safe secure, non judgmental environment for you to discuss and work to improve your concerns. I will work to assist you to identify specific areas you wish to improve and establish a realistic plan, one step at a time, to accomplish your goals. The treatment approaches I use are individualized to your specific needs. A few of the evidenced based strategies I use regularly in the counseling process are cognitive behavioral strategies, mindfulness strategies, rational-emotive therapy, person centered therapy and motivational interviewing.

My foundational belief is in the inherent worth and value of all individuals. Entering into a therapeutic relationship is a brave first step in achieving your individual goals.
