I am licensed in Illinois with 10 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

I have 6 years of experience working in an outpatient setting with adults who have substance use issues and co-occurring disorders. This included identifying ways to cope with mental health issues (e.g., depression, anxiety), setting goals for improving overall health and wellness, and processing past trauma. I also have 4 years of experience working in an inpatient setting with teenagers who had mental illness and substance use issues. This included a lot of work with families, as I also have education, experience, and training in couples and family counseling. This background allows me to help individuals with improving communication skills, resolving conflict effectively, and setting healthy boundaries with others.

I have a didactic approach, so I individualize care to what a person needs. My strengths include existential, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
