About
Taking steps toward prioritizing your mental well-being is not always easy, and I want to commend you for coming here to explore your options. Hi, I’m Michelle, a Los Angeles native, psychotherapist, and licensed clinical social worker working from a strengths-based and trauma-informed stance. I see therapy as a collaborative and judgment-free process where we will help you grow into the best version of yourself. My five years of experience working in community mental health have strongly influenced my therapeutic lens. I have been fortunate to work with a socioculturally diverse population, including adults with severe and persistent mental illness, undocumented individuals, trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ folks, and differently-abled children and adolescents. I am a Native speaker of Spanish and am happy to incorporate that into our sessions where preferred. I have previous training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Anxiety and Depression, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational interviews. I will work with you to create a blend of modalities best suits your unique needs. Whether you are hoping to heal from emotional pain or want to explore options for personal growth, I look forward to holding space for you with the utmost respect and care.
