I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapy Counselor with over 23 years of experience in the social work/mental health world. I have worked with all ages from birth to end of life, I have worked with the foster care and adoptive system; court systems; developmental life stages as well as end of life care. I have experience with divorce/separation; grief and loss; life changes and lifestyle adjustments and various relationships needs. I specialize in anxiety, mindfulness, strength based and solution focused therapy. I provide individual, couple and family therapy.
My counseling style is one of building trust with my patients; focusing in on your strengths and abilities to improve your life based on your goals. I am very goal oriented and work with you on setting your goals and then how we work to get achieve them. I encourage growth both personally and professionally, I do not believe in letting past decisions continue to affect who you are as a persona and defining the person you can become as well as helping you along the journey that therapy takes a person through. I do believe that therapy is a journey and not an overnight fix; I believe that people have to work through past hurt in order to heal for the future and I work side by side with my patient to ensure they are healing through their journey. I believe empowering patients to be successful in their future in key to our success.
I do believe that reaching out for support through therapy and counseling takes strength and is not an easy decision to make for some. I want to help each of you make that decision to improve your future for yourself, to experience success and to start to engage in a healthy and positive mindset.
