About

My counseling style is empathetic, integrative, pragmatic, and person-centered. I believe that a therapeutic relationship should be a collaborative one in which you and I work together to discover creative strategies, solutions and, at times, even humorous insights, to help you practice new ways to thrive. My previous clients have described me as warm and genuine. I have experience counseling adults and teens coping with grief, trauma, chronic health issues, addiction, existential concerns, sexuality, and recovery. I look forward to exploring these areas and more with you. My work draws its influence from the counseling theories and styles of Carl Rogers, Viktor Frankl, Francine Shapiro, and Marsha Linehan.

I graduated from Columbus State Community College with my Associate of Applied Science degree in 2007. I graduated from Capital University with a BSW in Social Work in 2010 and from Case Western Reserve University with an MSSA, with dual focus in Social Work and Addictions, in 2013. In addition, I am a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor and am Certified in Mindfulness Therapy. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, meditating, practicing yoga, reading philosophy, painting, and enjoying nature photography.
