I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions Counselor. I have years of experience with youth, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I specialize in both mental health counseling and substance use disorder counseling. So I am very comfortable helping clients with co-occurring issues. I am knowledgeable, empathetic, nonjudgment, dedicated and collaborative in my work. My counseling practice is an eclectic approach. I believe that an ethical and trauma informed approach are necessary for best practice. The change process can be a wonderful journey for a client as I believe we all have to ability to be successful in counseling. I value direct communication, authenticity and reciprocal trust in the counseling process in order for the client to truly open up and be themselves. One of my favorite sayings is "the journey is the destination."
