She is skilled in working with all ages but specializes in working with adolescents and adults as they navigate through new life transitions, anger, mood disturbances, and challenges. Michelle is trained and familiar with Perinatal Mental Health; working with both men and women, as they move through that journey. Michelle has experience supporting individuals who may be struggling during major transitional periods, experiencing anger management, stress, anxiety, depression, educational issues, mood disorders, and emotional support. She is certified in Grief and Loss; understanding that the loss of someone (or something) can be impactful on one’s life in a multitude of ways. She is also a Certified Specialist in Anger Management, assisting individuals in understanding and coping with anger and rage. While working with an individual, she utilizes a Client-Centered Approach, while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness. She views each client as an individual who presents with their own barriers and goals, appreciating that they will forge their own path using various tools that are right for them. She is happy to assist clients with empathy, direction, and support, as they take the lead working toward those goals. She encourages all clients to be true to themselves, it is only then that they can reach their goal successfully.
