I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Credentialed Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor and EMDR trained. I help individuals to develop solutions to the many problems that life can present. In addition to owning my private practice, I currently work as a counselor in an outpatient clinic in the addictions field. I have experience working in residential settings, school counseling, inpatient mental health and chemical dependency, PROS and outpatient chemical dependency. What is your approach to therapy? I use a person centered approach, meeting the individual where they are at in terms of the goals that they set for themselves while in therapy. I utilize various therapeutic interventions, such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I believe that every person and experience is unique and treatment should reflect upon the needs of the individual. You are the expert in your life. Through treatment and guidance, my hope is that you will be able to find peace, happiness and overcome obstacles and barriers that life presents.
