Hello! I'm Michelle Broweleit (pronounced brow light) and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington state. In 2007 I graduated from Regent University with a degree in psychology and then in 2008 for counseling. I started my private practice while working on my master's degree in 2007 and have been counseling since that time. Prior to this career I worked in many different fields in several states. Family and relationships are my passion and calling, both as a therapist and a person in general. My background includes nursing, foster parenting (including special needs children) and working with foster parents, adoption, teaching in public, private, and church schools, and serving my community in various paid and volunteer positions. I have been blessed with 4 biological children, 5 adopted children , 3 step-children, numerous sons and daughters-in-law, and currently 24 grandchildren. With this large family and my background there are not many concerns I have not experienced, so I have a huge amount of compassion for those that are suffering through changes in life situations.

Counseling with me is direct yet kind. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy are my most used clinical techniques but I take a very individual approach using whatever treatments will likely be most helpful in your particular situation. We will go at your pace and work on YOUR goals for therapy. You are a unique person deserving of respect and I will do my best to help you in your endeavors toward health and contentment.

My practice hours are approximately 10am - noon Monday - Thursday, and 8pm to 10pm Sunday - Thursday. I generally can respond once per morning and once per evening, sometimes more! I work with individual, couples, and families of any age. Faith based counseling is something I love to provide, but I do counsel those wishing a secular approach also.
