My name is Michelle and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Grief Counselling Specialist. I graduated in 2013 from Montana State University-Northern. I have worked in the mental healthcare field for 15 years. During that time I have worked as a case manager, family coordinator, youth support specialist, and a therapist. I have worked with a wide rage of ages, 5-75 during this time.

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, and caring. I feel all people deserve respect and understanding and I strive to provide that. I am most passionate about grief counseling, childhood trauma, and anxiety. With my education, and with my own personal experiences in these areas, I feel that I am better to able to understand, and help those going through the same processes.

The therapeutic approaches that I find most effective are Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Although those have been found to be most effective in my experience of counseling, I am not limited to those approaches, as I embrace the philosophy “To meet you where you are.” With that being said, my goal is to be supportive and empathetic with open and honest communication to reach the personal goals of my clients. I have had the privilege to be trained in various therapeutic approaches; therefore, will utilize whichever approach deems most effective to meet my clients’ needs.
