Hello there, my name is Michelle McCray and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I work primarily with adults of all ages and my approach to therapy is deeply rooted in empathy and holistic psychology. Whatever challenges you may face, I believe that you are worthy of being heard and feeling supported on your journey toward healing. Reach out for an initial session if you think we are good fit, I look forward to getting to work with you. My approach Because each of us are wonderfully unique, therapy is not one size fits all. I work largely from strengths-based and humanistic clinical orientations. We focus on the here and now, exploring feelings, experiences, and what patterns serve as well as those that do not. But there are times we must look into the past to determine what stands in the way of present ambitions and what gives you the resiliency and strength needed to move forward; in instances like this I utilize a psychodynamic framework. My focus I work with men, women, LGBTQIA+ folks and am comfortable treating various mental health challenges. Whether you've hit a rough patch and are working through some adjustment issues, are grieving the loss of a loved one or relationship, struggle with depression, anxiety , stress, or compulsions, are having family or relationship problems, have a history of trauma, or simply want to know yourself more deeply and explore YOU, we can work together. My communication style I work to form a genuine connection with each client and maintain a safe and accepting space where they can show up as their most authentic selves. My clients are met with empathy and unconditional positive regard through sometimes challenging inner work. My hope is that sessions feel productive, liberating, and empowering. My journey to therapy I strongly believe in the power of human connection and the sharing and hearing of stories. To me, providing therapy is an investment in humanity and I am honored to do this work.
