Michelle is a Mental Health Counselor on a limited permit and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. She earned her Master of Science in Education degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in Mental Health from Hofstra University. Michelle integrates different therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral, Mindfulness, Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing, along with others, to get you to think and make connections to the patterns in your life. She has worked with many diverse clients, approaching each individual with inclusivity and a judgement-free zone. Michele will challenge you to dive deeper into yourself, reflect and gain insight on the “whys” in your life, to continue to grow and be the best version of who you truly are. Her therapeutic approach is not a “one size fits all;” she looks to meet the client where they are at and build a relationship where they feel safe, supported, and validated. Her experiences have led her to engage with diverse populations including, but not limited to, Veterans, LGBTQ+ community, youth, and couples. She has worked in residential treatment settings and private practices, treating individuals facing a range of issues related to trauma, grief, relationships, self-esteem, addiction, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, setting healthy boundaries, and life transitions.
