Hi! My name is Michele Lalicata and I'm glad you're here. My counseling style can be described as warm, validating and interactive, while providing support and practical feedback.
I received my Masters in Education from Long Island University in New York and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Marymount University in Virginia.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and Marriage & Family Therapist.
I have over 25 years of experience serving individuals and couples in a variety of settings with issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, marital issues and situational stress. I also have experience supervising other therapists and I have had therapists as clients as well.
Using solution focused and cognitive behavioral techniques, we would focus on emotional regulation skills, resource building and learning to find and identify destructive thought patterns.
