Hi! I am here to help YOU! This has been my life's purpose. I have been a therapist for 45 years. Why not retire? I do not think that will ever happen, as I have a passion for my work and am still driven to assist as many people as I can, as long as I can. After graduation from Rutgers University with a BA in psychology and an MSW from Fordham University, my approach was much more traditional and had to do with psychoanalysis. However, it was imperative to move along with the times to keep up with your needs as a client. My approach has always been to start where the client is at. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, loss, fear or something else we will resolve these symptoms via supportive, insightful and skill building therapies. Whether this is a "tune up" or the first time seeking counseling, we will find a resolution. My philosophy as to why we are here as humans is: To teach, to learn, to love others and to love oneself. Oh, if it were only that simple. Life gets in the way a lot. To get balance back in your life, to rebuild yourself, to move on takes courage and trust.
