About

I am an individual and family therapist licensed in the District of Columbia with more than 20 years of experience working as a Clinical Social Worker. I have provided psychotherapy services for adults, teens and families with children on issues of family conflict, trauma history, school performance problems and adoption related issues. I am an adoptive parent and understand the unique aspects of individual and family dynamics are present in adoption (domestic and international). I have helped parents work through relationship problems with their children and resolve stressors with their partners. I understand childhood trauma and its impact later in life in interpersonal relationships.

My therapy style is honest and heartfelt. I encourage self resolution of problems and offer a safe space with strategies for working through difficult decisions and complex situations. I believe individuals want to perform at their best and are motivated to make any changes they believe are needed for success at home, school or work and other aspects of life.

I have worked with emotional disorders such as Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, Autism and Learning Disabilities.
