Hello, I am a first generation American of multinational heritage. I served in the military and worked as a civil engineer prior to furthering my education to become a therapist. I have been a licensed counselor for more than 15 years working with those struggling with change and misfortune. I specialize in solution focused counselling to help clients effectively manage feelings of depression and anxiety caused by ‘bad news’ and/or dealing with major change, life transitions, or trauma. I work in a collaborative and person-centered manner. Sessions are designed to help clients develop healthy coping strategies, raise self-awareness, and uncover their inner strength. A primary goal is to help clients reactivate previous responses to adversity that helped them restore a sense of ease and balance in their life. I sometimes help clients to reframe their challenges to drawn attention away from self-imposed limitations towards potential present and future possibilities.
