About

Hello, I am Dr. Michael Rogers.
Throughout my journey, I've been fortunate to wear many hats, each allowing me to contribute uniquely to the field of mental health counseling. At present, I wear two hats, that of President and Clinical Director of Key Bridge, Inc and as an Adjunct Professor at Liberty University's Department of Community Care and Counseling. Here, I have the honor of shaping budding therapists, utilizing platforms like Canvas, Tervera, and Blackboard to ensure they receive a comprehensive and interactive learning experience.
In my role as the President and Clinical Director of Key Bridge, Inc., I take pride in touching thousands of lives each year, with over 8,000 client services provided annually. It's more than just leadership for me; I actively engage in therapy sessions, maintain my own set of clients, and offer guidance to a dedicated team of professionals. My passion particularly lies in substance abuse counseling, a seed that was sown during my tenure at Guidance Care Center, where I introduced a Cognitive Reframing curriculum tailored for incarcerated individuals. This endeavor reflects my deep commitment to breaking the vicious cycles of addiction and recidivism.
Before I ventured into therapy, my leadership was at play at RIS Inspections, Inc. Here, I steered operations and led a dynamic team across the southeastern U.S. and Puerto Rico. This mix of business and clinical insights positions me in a unique space in the counseling domain.
Education has been the cornerstone of my career. I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology from Keiser University and completed my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My drive for academic contributions led to the publication of "Reframing Your Future: A Cognitive Reframing Curriculum to Reduce Recidivism Through Inmate Education."
My professional journey spans over three decades, blending business management skills with therapeutic expertise. I am well-versed in various therapeutic methodologies and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), among other certifications.
Associations play a vital role in one's professional growth, and I'm proud to be affiliated with the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Psychological Association (APA), and the International Association for Correctional and Forensic Psychology (IACFP).
Whether you're looking for therapeutic guidance, a collaborative opportunity, or insights from academia, I'm here to offer a synthesis of clinical acumen, academic depth, and heartfelt compassion. Let's journey together towards mental well-being.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, & coping with grief and loss. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
