My name is Michael and I would love to be your therapist! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio. I have over five years of experience working with a variety of different populations. I also graduated in December 2019 with my PhD in Counselor Education! Despite all these accomplishments, I know life can be difficult. Work, relationships, school, and the various other demands can cause someone to feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or depressed. Add to these common demands the influences of ADHD, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other forms of mental illness and navigating through life can feel impossible. I provide a comfortable, client-centered environment for exploration and growth.
My focus is broad, but I generally work with clients who have feelings of anxiety or depression. I also work with clients who have experienced trauma and are having difficulty functioning as a result of it. Another population I work with are individuals with physical disabilities. As an individual with a visual impairment, I know what it’s like to have to navigate through the demands of life while facing outside influences. This allows me to build rapport with my clients early in the counseling process and helps to forge a path toward change.
