About

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist residing in the beautiful state of Washington. I received a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University in 2012. After that, I began my career working in a community mental health setting providing mental health services for clients who may not have been able to afford counseling in a traditional private practice setting. Once my time ended there, I started working in a setting that provided behavioral services to children with autism and providing support to their caregivers/families. Both settings were very rewarding for me as I gained valuable experience and insight working with different populations from different backgrounds. I currently work in private practice in the Seattle, WA area.

I find a passion working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and racial identity issues. I believe we make meaning of the world around us from the surroundings we grew up in. Sometimes those environments are unhealthy and have caused us to develop unhealthy ways of coping with life and that is where our struggles with anxiety and depression originate.

My job is to be present with you as we work together towards helping you work on the goals that you set in counseling. Many times I discover when people uncover their core beliefs and values and start living towards those ideals they can live a healthier and richer life.
I believe you are the experts in your own lives and it is my job to highlight your resiliency and strengths for you to build upon to live the life you want. I do that by using an eclectic approach that includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as a systemic theory approach.
